Some of the parents are not understanding the seriousness of online classes mode. This year there will not be any school till December and most of school terms ends by February, so it is only option to have online classes and finish the syllabus and move for next year. Some parents still objecting and making Hungama. Our worry is increased fees and that to be discussed and cleared...Other than this I don't see much resistance required for online classes. more
The views of Mr. Girish are well taken. But I have a few questions for him. [1] What is the infrastructure needed in a home, for on line classes ? [2] If the family has two children, one going to an elite school called, ICSE school and the other going to a Govt. school under state syllabus. Both have "on line" classes at the same time. [3] Can the ,Lower Middle Class Head of the family afford two systems? [4] Even if the family has only boy, going to the CBSE school. Can he sit in front of the LCD monitor for hours together? [5] What about the unfilterable ,"blue ray" radiating from the LCD screen? Mr. Girish must know the serious effects to the eyes of the boy? PLAYING games and addictions to ipad/phone/net gadgets are attractive for the kids and NOT THE CLASS LESSONS, ASi ts children in class also distracted in many ways and their attn is focused again by the teachers present there in. parents and children have to 1 learn op use of tech gadgets, fix up routine of the day for self and children, sit with them to make it an habit to online classes, after close of the classes parents need to clarify their doubts.praise and reward recognition of their engagements online to learn ,engage in physical /play activities for adequate motivations. Then only it could make about 30% children learning online satisfactory. prof h m k more
What about poor students in urban areas and students in rural areas not having access to the internet facility? The solution to this problem is to revert back to the ancient systems of teaching and mastering. These systems made students more self-reliant and independent of the job opportunities in the markets. Present day degrees and post graduation etc. may need to have a re-look and overhaul the system completely. The education system needs a total revamp any way and is overdue for a long time. more
