ONLINE POLICE VERIFICATION PROCESS FOR TENANTS
NOIDA police claims to have online process for verification of tenants, which, in reality, is worse than the manual process. It appears that the process has been deliberately designed to compel applicants to visit their Greater NOIDA office or employ touts/property dealers for the job.
Process requires the Applicant Tenant to upload the information including his photograph with size of less than 100 KB. The information can be uploaded only after verification code received through mobile number is entered.
However, Landline number of tenant is a mandatory, which not relevant at all as the mobile number is being verified through verification code.
Once the information is entered there is neither any provision for the applicant to take a print out for his record nor any confirmation is being sent through SMS or E-Mail (E-Mail Address is being captured)nor any reference number is being generated and displayed for noting. Consequenlty, tenant or owner has no proof that he has applied for police verification. The societies demand acknowledged copy of the Application before allowing the tenant to occupy the Apartment.
The print out of the information submitted online is taken in the Police Headquarters and is sent to the jurisdictional police Station for verification. The hard copy of verification report is provided after verification report is received from the concerned police station and is to be collected personally by the Application or person authorized by him. There is no provision for tracking the progress of the process and date on which the report can be collected. No telephone number is also displayed or provided for seeking such information.
Thus, the online process requires multiple visits to the office of the SSP at Greater NOIDA to collect the report.
On the other hand the manual process required one visit for the tenant as the dated acknowledgement from the Police Office is acceptable to the Society Administration for permitting the tenant to shift into the Apartment. more
