Online water Boosters
Online water Boosters are nothing but menace to water supply system. They not only lead to corrosion to water pipes leading to contamination of water but also they lead to unequal distribtution of water leading to artificial water scarcity among residents particularly to those whose houses are situated at tail ends.
We often see in the news that a person is standing with bottle in his hands having yellowish water. Water supplying agency is not responsible for this. it is only online water Boosters, which are responsible for it.
installing Online water Boosters is nothing but robbery of water.
It is high time that we say "No to Online water Boosters". I know that it will not be easy, because Online water Boosters have become a rule. But we must at least proceed in this direction.
I have filed PIL in Delhi High Court regarding Online water Boosters. DJB has undertaken to solve the problem but nothing has been done by DJB till date.
I appeal to all of you to think on the issue. it is in the interest of the public at large. more

sir I have been complaining against this since years to the Delhi JAL board , police , sdmc and SDM. In spite of the notice to the wrong doer from the delhi Jal board in Dec 2017 the water booster pumps are very much there and in operation. Kindly advise. Well said and well done Mr Tripathi. One fact I wish to bring to your notice. If NDMC areas can be supplied potable water (no water purifiers are required in the NDMC area) why are we in MCD areas being discriminated with double standards of water supply in the city. I wish you can somehow incorporate this fact in your evidence and your PIL. more

Dear Sri Tripathi, I am thankful to you and wish you success as a reward of PIL. I am still thinking why a need has come up for raising a PIL. This would have been avoided if the concerned Authorities were active to their designated role and responsibilities. Can a PIL be able to get the ineffective employees retrenched from their services? Will such employees change their attitude? We paid an amount of rupees one lakh to DJB in 2015 hoping we will receive sensible quality of potable water. We failed to receive even a litre of water at ground level and DJB did not bother to address the problem despite of feedback and complaint to CEO-DJB and CM-Delhi. DJB continued to raise the bills with hefty Service Charges and average consumption and then we realised our mistake of becoming a consumer of DJB Services. Water Robbery is promoted by Delhi Jal Board only because of its utter failure in providing needed services. I wish if all senior officials including management level of DJB are simply removed and dumped with replacement by fresh people believing in services. more
