Only 4 pct Indian households get drinkable water

The LocalCircles household water survey is an eye opener with the subject headline

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/india-drinking-water-survey

My point is whatever be the Govt a tax paying citizen deserves to get clean water from their Government.

If the Government cant provide that to the citizen, they should have the right to claim a tax deduction equivalent to their water bill.

These are basic citizene rights we have to fight for in our country more

Supplying pottable water to 140 people in reasonable quantity 24x7 is just not possible. Govt should simultaneously try to control population on war footing to solve many socio- economic problems. more
Vishaguru and Non -biological person and the angel of God has already claimed that India's kalki kaal has started and Amrit kaal has already provided the tap water under "Jal se nal" hence suffer for another 5 yrs to get the basic drnking water more
This % was much higher till the mid-80s when you could drink water straight from the tap even at railway stations and bus stands. Slowly, drinking water has deteriorated and supply is significantly reduced. Bottled water has gained significant ground across the country. Municipalities are not augmenting water treatment capacity despite significant growth in population. Major parts of the country still rely heavily on untreated ground water or well water. Water in canals is more contaminated than it was two decades ago. A lot of work needs to be done in this area as water is the elixir of life. more
As a nationwide drive, Bottled water mafia must be stopped, quality of water will start improving . more
since independence we have been talking of the same but still there are lot of places where water is scarce and people have to walk km to get one pail of water and we talk of development when basic necessities have not been addressed since 1947 more
