Lunch etc should be optional as in Grib Rath more
I would suggest that in the Shatabdi and Rajdhani trains, the stuff which is given for lunch and Dinner sometimes goes waste. Instead can the serving boy ask for the things required and do not serve if something is not needed. Also I think some rationalisation can be done of the menu. more
We need good technology, TTE's are only product of the system and if we can improve the system They will automatically have to mend their ways. Biggest solution to whole problem is use of technology, for this we need TTE's to be given hand held devices that are connected to backend servers having complete information about the Reserved seats. When TTE Checks the ticket through barcoded ticketing system the data should be transferred to the backend server as and when the handheld device get connected to the internet( it is because while train is moving many an times connectivity may not be available). This is not so easy because Railway officials as well as unions will be opposing it to hilt. There had been talks for this kind of system as back as 2006 but nothing has moved so far. more
If something need taken care on immediate basis is improvement of hygeine railway track at plateform. I am surprise why anybody not talking about that. I assume non of the human being will be ok seeing human excreta on railway track when they are waiting there from their train. Please ..please...please open up and try to find the solution of this unanimously. more
It looks like the Feed Back system is developed by IRCTC but the problem lies in the system where the feedback and complains are not acknowledged and no actions are taken, if in case the action is taken then it is not effective, It seems the system is for the show cause, and same is required to be overhauled, duties to be addressed properly, watch to be maintained, employees to be suspended or fired( the employment agreements to be considered for reconstruction, the grievance cell for passengers / employees to be established and must be effective no chance for loop holes) , and if they do not show efficiency in their work. Its a long way but some where it has to start. People have to understand and help in maintaining cleanliness in train stations and coaches, the must be fined if they do not abide by the rules, Proper arrangements to be made so that people do not litter around, and staff to be trained to overcome such issues. more
