optimum use of electricity at stations
today i was at India National capital Railway Station and even at 6 am more than 200 tube lights on each platform i.e. in total more than 3400 tube lights on all 16-17 platforms besides other locations were on even at 6.00 am whereas its a complete day in these days even at 5 am and i hope it would not have been turned off even at 6 am. optimum and smart use of available resources is today our basis necessity to survive in the long run . government is promoting green energy a lot, it can utilise its huge railways and its offices space , in collaboration with some good and efficient corporates like L & T and so, to install solar power to reduce power consumption from non renewable resources. more

Here in Gurgaon(DLF Phase-1) and adjoining areas too the street lighting is left on after 5.30am and many a time the full day too. In the evenings you will also find the electricity being turned on at 5.30pm whereas there is strong daylight right till 7.30pm. WHAT A WASTE OF TAX PAYERS MONEY.. more

I am a frequent railway traveler. Being a senior citizen, many times I find myself in difficulty to locate my coach. Therefore I suggest that authorities make arrangements to send the coach position through SMS on cell phones. And so also on Konkan Railway line there is on station called Kumta(KT) where there is only one plat form. and many times trains stop on second track which does not have properly constructed plat form. People find it very difficult to board the train because of height and stoppage time is just two minute at the maximum. I hope this would reach the appropriate authorities and issues are addressed. more

It's ok. It may be railway follow IST clock, and our nation is too big... there May be some illumination at eastern part of nation while dark at western part of nation. more

We in India do not have the skill to select suitable employees for the job of operating electrical switches on time. Is it not cheaper for us to make it a must to install light-sensitive switches to operate public lights? CKPNair 5-6-'17 more
