Very politely I will like to point out that the retirement age in Railways & Defence forces vary quite a bit. A Jawan retires at the max age of 37-38 years and a 90 % of te officers at the age of 50 years.
Since defence forces are also govt employees they should get to serve up to 60 years which is the normal for all govt servants.
More over the army was getting 70%of the last drawn salary as pension till 1973 which was reduced to 50% in the third pay commission in 1973 or was it the well deserved award for winning the 1971 war ( Pun intended)
Also Govt made a solemn promise in 1973 that accept reduction in pension and we will give OROP. Being simple and decent people Defence forces accepted this and than the TRAITORS, worshipprs of White skin, and servile idiots who constitute the bulk of Congress party went back on their promise.
Shameful for the country that the defender of nation in his/her youth is on HUNGER STRIKE for more than 62 days to get what was promised by the successive govts who just filled their pockets. more

In India every Govt has some weaknesses & we cannot blame the concerned party or Prime Minister. Like in other performance areas, it is the TEAM WORK i.e the officers, staff and even opposition party members must cooperate. Then only better results are possible. Lt.COL.ANIL saab please see: Retirement Age must be reduced to 50 for all jobs. We have lot of youth to be employed or else there are already NEW PROBLEMS. Those who retire at age 50 can be re-employed with suitable jobs. Ex: Maintainence work in Railways, Military, Home guard, Police, Border Security, etc. The Aged people can continue to work as long as they want at new Terms & Conditions. Govt should think of some legislation to set up procedures & uniform codes in this area. more

Trust Lt Col Anil ji OROP is going to be rolled out soon anytime before BIHAR elections.The present PM of India will surely keep his promise. As far as CONGRESS is concerned your observation was right.95% of problems in INDIA are Congress generated and am sure it will take time to clean the leftover mess. more
