Osteoarthritis knee
Wake up 0445 hours. Do Kapalbhati & Anulom-Vilom for 30 minutes and then take bath. Have breakfast by 5 O’clock. Go to work where lot of walking, ascending/descending of stairs was involved. Lunch at 1130 hrs, 10 minutes nap and rejoin work again. 6-7 PM extraneous work out in the gym (alternative days: aerobics and weights + cycling). By 8 PM have my dinner and then go to bed. No coffee and no drinks for 28 days. Next 28 days 2-4 drinks on average daily.
My left knee starting paining. I consulted orthopedic who said it is degeneration. No medicines were prescribed. I consulted another doctor with the same diagnosis. In the meantime I had bunions in both the toes. I couldn’t wear safety shoes so I got those removed by surgery. I continued with my above mentioned life style in spite of pain.
My colleagues were taking glucosamine (oral) and were OK so I also started taking it and continued for almost 2 years without any relief. The condition started deteriorating. I stopped exercise and work altogether. My both knees have pain and huge weight gain (Height 6’ 2” weight 106 Kg). I consulted orthopedics again and recommendation is open surgery/replacement.
I have taken turmeric plus amla powder with milk daily for 6 months. I did janubasti for 21 days with no relief. I do not take pain killers. I do take 2-3 drinks daily before dinner. I have applied so many oils including ayurvedic, many sprays and supported knee caps.
Currently I do 15-20 minutes walk in the morning, 10 minutes cycling(stationary) and Kapalbhati & Anulom-Vilom for 15 minutes. I have hypertension and take BP lowering drugs daily plus atorvastatin 5mg for cholesterol. BP and cholesterol is in control. My sugar and uric acid is normal. I take Omega-3,6,9 fish capsules daily with dinner and also magnesium citrate 400 mg daily. I feel pain after I stand up and while walking. The X-rays of the knees show absence of cartilage and doctors wonder how I am walking.
Is there any cure for osteoarthritis of my knees or I had to go under the knife. Please help. more
