Our Poll in Economic Times
NEW DELHI: The results of the first poll on the performance of the Narendra Modi government are out. The Modi government has met the expectations of half the people surveyed, while 30 per cent think that the performance has been below expectations.
The remaining 20 per cent seem to believe that the government has exceeded expectations, keeping the 'slide' in the past 10 years of UPA government. The poll was conducted among the 1,30,000 members of online community of 'Transform India with Modi' to gauge the public mood after 60 days of Modi government.
Thirty thousand members of the citizen-government engagement initiative responded to the poll. Launched by public policy expert Rajendra Pratap Gupta, a BJP member, the Local Circles community has members from various backgrounds like industry, employed professionals, investors, farmers, social activists, students, home makers, academicians, bureaucrats and senior citizens.
The communication cell of BJP is also associated with the community. Gupta was also incharge of penning down BJP's election manifesto on behalf of the manifesto committee led by Murli Manohar Joshi.
"Outstanding is the perfect word to describe the performance of the BJP led NDA government. If the elections are held today for four states (going to polls later this year), BJP on its own will win over 80 per cent of the seats" Gupta told ET.
In a bid to keep the government on its toes, the poll is likely to become a regular feature, borrowing from USA's system of President's approval rating. more

It is now a days heard during every discussions and read in news paper articles, comments on silence of our PM on various matters of public/opposition party interest. This silence is understood by those who know management principles where is delegation and unity of command etc principles or tools are used for quality of work, productive work and at reduced costs. However, for ordinary people including "extraordinary" politicians, this becomes a point for celebration and spending days time. While few people are happy to listen these comments, many feel that even if this silence is for good and acceptable, some logical statement from PMO will remove this chirping of few. Many feel happy to see how opposition are kept busy making comments in the hope of getting sympathy of people not knowing they want actions and not lip-service. more

We read, time and again, in various news papers and articles written by Indian writers in locals as well as foreign news papers/print medias and listen in all electronic medias, TV stories, debates and discussions, addressing BJP as a communal party and termed as major party who starts/started all the communal riots in the past. This has become a regular feature/practice and without any impunity and/or fear, the terms used without any objections from BJP. We as ordinary citizens of India feel why BJP is keeping silence on this matter and not taking any strong -legal or other allowable available actions against those calling BJP by these names? Is the silence or no action means acceptance of the charges? It will be better for the party to take immediate actions and steps to stop this type of propaganda to malign the party and its image. and clarify publicly the exact position and actions taken to stop the use of such terms.It is matter of great concern but BJP leaders are seen to be taking it very lightly even after getting embarrassed during the discussions and debates we watch! more

It is all very well to rejoice and celebrate but the real test lies in keeping pace with the public mood ----- currently all is not hunky dory ---- 1.Media is attacking BJP with ----PUBLIC ke "Achche DIN kab Aayenge" pointing to living costs. 2. There is no daily/weekly update on SIT on black money 3. Reduce if not waive interest on EDUCATION LOANS 4. Get political parties under RTI Act, 2005 5. Be TRANSPARENT in PRACTICE too. Take care!
