Over 1/3rd candidates social activists in AAP. Over 1/3rd candidates criminals & corrups in BJP/Cong/ SHS/ MNS/ SP/ BSP

NEW DELHI: They have long been dismissed as "jhola-walas". Now, thanks to a political platform provided by Aam Aadmi Party, social activists are centre-stage in the policy debate. Over one-third of candidates fielded by AAP for the Lok Sabha polls are activists fighting for tribal rights, health, education, illegal land-grabbing and giving voice to their communities' tradition and culture.

Around 120 of the 350-odd candidates announced by the party are described as social activists. These include lawyers who have filed public interest litigations or fought for public causes, doctors who provide charitable healthcare and rights activists who have resisted displacement of their people. more

It is not a question of giving benefit of doubt. This benefit is thought about only when there is a doubt. It seems that corrupt parties have succeeded to some extent in sowing the seed if doubt about AAP. This is what right minded people who strive for clean governance, have to be careful about. For the first time someone has identified corruption in high places as a major malaise, which is eating into the national resources. We should go all out to support such a fight. Some success has been achieved which has resulted in a sense of insecurity to these corrupt and rattled them. We should understand that such powerful people will let their selfish interests be compromised easily. Let us all commit ourselves that we shall not look back and continue this fight full heartedly, till we achieve our objectives. Let us double our efforts and ensure that there is no complacency or defeated thoughts take us away from the path. JAIHIND. more
Ashis Ji every one respect risinging Sun So AAP is getting benifit of doubt this time. more
Correct. Churning process is must for every party and I am sure after May 16 , most of opportunitst shall not be with us and that will be time to rebuild the party with sincere and serious representatives. Brand Kejriwal shall wither all problems and challanege. AAP is on a very good learning curve. Hope rich experience of contesting general election will give a good insight to its leader and policy makers. more
Ashish Ji, AAP is in a building phase. Many will join. Some will go. Ultimately extra dust will settle down and AAP will have a bunch of very matured and committed members. more
