Over Charging By Pantry Vendors

I frequently travel by 12934 / 12933 Karnavati Express between Vadodara and Bharuch. It is observed that Pantry Vendors always charge more for food items. The Tea / Coffee vendors always give very small quantity (hardly 50-70 ml) and that for Rs, 10.00. I have also experienced this many times. When asked for the reasons they always take a hard stand against the passenger. In fact there is no check on these vendors including Pantry Managers. I am sure other passengers also must have experienced this while traveling on other routes also.

Kindly take necessary action. more

Its all over India if its true I travelled by Pushpak exp by 06/07 from Lucknow to Mumbai and returned back by 14/07 vendors asked twice the price of vegitarian *Rs100/- and after objection they quarreled badly . After asking bill and Comlaint book they shown me they forget there payments ,but after reaching near Thane they sent other person with wrong bil adding additional price but they fought me long and gathered 3-4 vender staff really ,i afraid but they never took comlaint book and and no manager else came . Hence i asked aluminum pricelist at gate for correct that or remove, but all vain. more

Common practice of catering vendors to charge flat Rs 10 for tea/coffee against Rs7.especially in MS DR route. Many passengers donot challenge. If you do they come with explanation that travellers do not have Rs7 change !If you give exact change then they will reduce the quantity. But I found in MAS-SBC double decker they give you 2 biscuits along with tea/coffee for 10 Rs.! more
your contractors put such barrication that can be broken all times why?make good fat boundary walls and then penalize if no money beat black and blue who will move inside, once you start this, there will be no problem at all, your police staffs are ineffective, not for thief, not for illegal vendors, they are always behind money 100 per sit for general class. more
These sorts of catering mostly happens in the trains where there is not pantry cars. But such catering recommeded to be done by IRTC authorised personnel with uniforms only with quality cheks. more
