Overcharging for Covid-19 tests
Really shocking that a COVID-19 patient admitted to a Pvt hospital in Andheri, Mumbai is charged Rs9.5 lakh for 15-day stay in a single room. That's the package. Patient is not in a critical condition, so no need for ventilator nor ICU.
If the govt can't provide free treatment to COVID19 patients, least we expect is to have a cap on medical expenses.
Two issues:
1. No hospital should be allowed to charge so exorbitant.
