Overpass from Sector-61 to Sector-26
Dear All,
The construction of the over pass from U-Flex INdustries junction near Sector-61 to Vishwa Bharati School junction on the main road leading to Sector-18, I understand, is to reduce the traffic congestion on the original main road and enable smooth flow of traffic. However, I notice some basic fundamental things are not being done right as mentioned below
1. The position of a pillar is obstructing one full left lane at the crossing when one is coming from Stadium road. This will also create problems in undertaking any widening of the road as the pillar will be bang in the middle. We can already see the problem even now once you cross the signal and reach Sector-30, the road suddenly widens.
The pillar is also a big blind spot for vehicles approaching the crossing. This should be rectified now if possible or some alternate found, before we have a major accident .
2. The original road below the Over pass is now being narrowed from Sector-30 to NTPC crossing by shifting the footpath 2-3 feet towards and putting up street light poles; this is making the roads narrower than their original width and will affect smooth flow of traffic and also make widening an impossible proposition.
3. The original road below the underpass on the shoprix mall stretch has been made 75% of what it used to be and a foot path wide enough to accommodate two Lanes has been created which does not make sense unless it is to enable hawkers to come and occupy it. Moreover, there is another wide road beyond the footpath running alongside the green area, the purpose of which is not understood.
I am raising this here in the hope that it will be flagged to the right authorities and corrective action taken immediately without major cost implications, else all this infrastructure enhancement will become a major problem in the immediate future.
IN fact it appears that the thinking has been left to the Construction Contractors to finish the job fast irrespective of the final result. more

NOw that the elections are over, hopefully there will be some action on the overpass construction errors. Haven't seen any change for the positive, on the other hand, the error is getting formalised into a confirmed future nuisance. Request somebody to let me now the right authority to flag this to. more

I had made a post on 13th Jan 2017 on the overpass construction on the stretch from Sector-61 to Sector-26 and the related development work being carried out on the surrounding areas. While I haven't seen any change in the activities to alleviate the problems highlighted, I would like to know where to take this issue to for addressal. Would be obliged of some one can shed some light on the subject. more

I agree totally to the points... It is a very poorly designed work and most of it is afterthought... ESP the entry exit points near NTPC & Iskon temple. This has made a mess of an otherwise such a beautiful road... Wonder where to raise these issues! more

Very good observations. I wonder if any one is going to take any remedial actions to salvage the situation. Hope it wakes up the concerned authorities. more

Bureaucracy.. Yes! Well observed. I also put this in the notice of DM few days back, that roads been narrowed.. I've seen this sense of planning first time in my life.. Where are Dr. Mahesh sharma, Bimla bathom and where are Authority's super engineers? Where there was a wide road...now been narrowed..and; where nithari villagers were occupied service road has been left unattempted. Noida resident's RWAs to consider and file this objection to the hon'ble court timely. more
