Oxygen shortages could be a serious issue

Per Govt India produces over 6900 metric tonnes oxygen. Today 6% patients were on oxygen. These patients and other health needs together means there is a requirement of 2800 metric tonnes everyday . Industry requirement is 2200 metric tonnes.

If cases increase and lets say double and we need 5600 metric tonnes just for patients than there wont be enough for industry. If industry stakes claim first, usually the case with their heavy lobbying, patients may not get it.

Can India ramp up production???? more

Look at this Ms. Kajal the news item looks as if it were addressed to your complaint / suggestion . Good to know that the valuable Posts do attract attentiion . NOW THIS MESSAGE HAS TO GO TO THE NOOKS AND CORNERS OF INDIA SO THAT NO ONE IS DEPRIVED OF OXYGEN . more
Since 22nd march we have not thought about that or we were not aware of the seriousness of situation.india should try to increase its oxygen supply both for indudtey as well as for hospitals.for industry other alternate can be available.but the patient will increaseas soon as winter start or farmers will starting burning of crop residues.may ne after one month.prepare for the worst.this is peak maintinance period specially in sugar and fabricating industries untill nex 2 months.we must import or enhance oxygen production as soon as posible. more
Kajal You have raised a very good issue. its fairly easy to extract oxygen from air. Oxygenerators are available in the market for individual patient requirements, and if the need be then saving humanity is much more important than running industry. The government should take it seriously and sart augmenting oxygen production. more
