Ozone/ionisation devices being sold to keep Covid virus away

Some companies since last year have been selling ionisation or so called ozone devices that will keep your indoor air free of virus. Guess what - they are very dangerous..

According to the best scientific minds in the world, Ionisation creates oxidants no one should be breathing and it has not been proven to kill viruses.

So dont waste money please and buy air purifiers instead more

Selling ionisation or so called ozone devices to keep your indoor air free of virus, is for profitisation. Please do not believe. more
It is a subject for argument. Ionizers are known to reduce particle density in air (aerosol). Air borne particles will tend to settle down on surfaces when we use such ionizers. Viral particles too settle down thereby reducing the chance of infection by inhalation . Is it 100% effective? No!! But then neither PPEs which are aimed at reducing aerosol inhalation can. Hence, yes, air purifiers with ionizers can reduce the risk but not to the extent of 100%. As far health hazard of ozone, the concentration of ozone produced by these ionizers are very low, just enough to tackle the aerosols. At higher concentrations, they can be dangerous but at low concentration, they are not only harmless but also beneficial. Having said these things, you have a valid point. There is no point in having them indoor. May be they can show their efficacy in some risky areas like lobbies, high foot fall areas, offices etc where more people movement may happen. more
Dont fall pray to any such loud advertisement n Ozone is good only to an certain limit or may have adverse effect. Use your own wisdom . more
