You are 200% right. But the big question is who cares for common citizens in this Great India?
I am sure their Association might have hired 'BEST LAWYERS' and so they won the case.
Common citizens have no voice in India.
Is it not a matter of GREAT CONCERN that all over the country the TAP WATER is not drinkable. Se there is no option except to go for costly water bottles.
In most countries I have visited people drink tap water which is totally safe and hygienic. But in our Country it has been rendered NOT DRINKABLE deliberately. Otherwise who will give huge sums to our GREAT LEADERS and BUREAUCRATS?
While delivering the landmark judgment the Court could have at least fixed a maximum percentage for overcharging. That could be some consolation to common citizens. more

Today's Poll of localcircle on Restaurants and Hotels be mandated to permit customers to carry their own Packed Drinking Water. THIS RESULTS NEGLECT BY ALL THE RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS TO STOP THE SUPPLY OF TREATED DRINKING WATER TO THE CUSTOMERS with the tips of law and Text of the Law that advises the Hotel customers for their own Drinking Water. This require Separate Law mandating all the Hotels and Restaurants to supply at free of cost, treated Drinking Water with the paid Food Supply . more

The policy of dual pricing for the same commodity with similar quality & quantity itself is wrong and unjustified. Irrespective of the best lawyers or lawyers of average ability, the court should have applied its mind in the best way keeping the consumers' interests above all. more

Many times, Justice delivery is confined to Textual lines of the Laws and to be codified in Judicial Reforms to set Justice at National Interest, Human Morality and Goodness which is the Essence of Natural Justice which was glorified by S.C. in 1983 and is opted in 2017 case of Triple Talaq . more

When I visited Rome sometime back, a notice board in the Railway station had (proudly) stated that all waters avilable in public fountains are perfectly safe for drinking. Long back(several decades) even in India tap water was well treated. But the volume of purification has not kept pace with the expanding population as the leaders and profiteers are busy elsewhere more

What about packaged water Industries like Coca Cola, Drinking water can selling as a flourishing business for the Law makers to Encroach water bodies, causing INHUMAN, INEQUITY in Essential Public wealth & public Distribution, let lone all other mineral looted.

One of the main reasons for non-potable tap water is online motor boosters installed in individual houses which damage water pipes and this leads to contamination of tap water. I have already filed PIL in Delhi High Court regarding menace of online boosters. more

Guaranteed and Standardized Drinking Water Supply be mandated in every place of Business and institutions of all fields including Offices, Entertainment Houses where public need to transact, consult, merchandise and Use.

The Government has to mandate in the issue of Packed Water Bottles. Some Restaurants and some Hotels are supplying Treated Water Free while all others are also to be mandated even now. 20 liters [ Can ] Water cost Rs.40 while as One liter Bottle cost Rs.20 in general . Till 90s, we have used to drink untreated Water and lived healthy . Since 2000, the issue was reversed causing Chronic Deceases . But, even now a days, in the whole India, Drinking Water Taps in all Railway Stations are being used by majority Passengers for Drinking and even Bottling for their to be used in train Journey . As we all know, not only Water, many of the packed Food items, and, even the Food items at Schools are also causing damage to health creating chronic deceases that outburst seasonally . IT IS GOVERNMENTS TO MANDATE IN EVERY PANCHAYAT, EVERY MUNICIPALITY AND GREATERS . more

Dear all, You are absolutely right. No one cares citizen health. According to me as long as the middle class people keep quit and remain between four walls, sustain whatever pain it is. the things will remain the same. In India no one question. Once a common man starts questioning then thing will go better.
