parking facility at big stations
it is hightime that modern parking facilities arraged at all major stations. people are ready to pay, but arrangements are not available. for Eg. ernakulam south station isa typical example for poor parking facility. (not even 50 cars can be parked at a time) more

I am a daily traveller on Sealdah main line, the sorry state of affairs on this Divn : 1. Most of the times one after the another trains are put on Line No 1 for the trains starting from Sealdah as a result all trains become late , whereas line 3 is kept vacant God knows for what. 2. at Barrackpore stn its the practice to terminate and start Barrackpore Locals from Platform 1A this results in avoidable delay of the trains going beyond Barrackpore as they have to slow down while entering at platform 1 and while departing same story. 3. Inspite of so much technological up gradation of Railways trains are made to wait for upto 10 minutes at Barrckpore the reason as per the Railways signal is given to the stranded train only when the train ahead crosses Ichapore the second Station from Barrckpore as the Palta station the next from Barrackpore does not have any Cabin. In the age of walkie talkies and all station masters or operating Staff has online access why can't the information be relayed electronically? 4. It has been observed at Barrackpore Stn in the morning rush hour the incoming train at Barrckpore is made to wait even when the platform is vacant. 5. The announcements made manually are bad as the person making has a poor diction and too fast as if passengers are being slaped and it is in bengali only. 6. The timing fed into the Enquiry server are wrong 99.5% most of the times the time entered in the system is earlier than the actual time , probably its done show efficiency. 7. another problem is when Automatic signal fail they resort to out dated procedure of British time Memo writing and all that when the walkie talkies can be of use here. more

Correct.It is a menace.In some passenger trains (more in north),,unauthrised travelling is more then 60-70%..One ex,In Huble bound (SWRLY) passenfger trains(Particularly morning trains),it is more than 70%.RPF and commercial depts tried to curb it.But to no avail.CITIZEN OWNERSHIP OF RAILWAYS IS THE PANACEA.LET RYS CREATE AWARENESS more

Unauthorised travelling in the railways causing harassment In the trains from MARGAO to CSTM KONKANYA RAILWAY, there are always unauthorised travelling by some persons more particularly in AC and reserved compartments. The concerned TT also makes money on it. Many of these commuters pose themselves to be the railway employees. more
