parking in roads and foot path is a menace in Delhi

I visually surveyed the congested areas in Delhi. Estimated that almost 90% of the footpaths and 60% of the rords are covered by the parked vehicles or some obstructions. There is lapses in the civic bodies in Delhi and GoNCTD for enforcements which is main reason for congestion. After privatisation of electricity , 60% of loss of electricity mostly due to theft has reduced to 9% now, which is mostly technical losses. Similar improvement / reform in civic services are essential.

All MCDS/ GONCTD should immediately develop multi storey movable parking facility in all colonies through PPP model and stive enforcement activities on removal of vehicles and others installations from the foot paths and roads.
Lets not waste public money to develop footpath and roads for parking of the vehicles of rich ones, rather let it be used for the purpose it is made.

Sorry, I have a separate view, Parking own vehicles on roads or footpath are illegal and it must be stopped. Govt should provide adequate public transport, own vehicles may be parked at own places, Malls, Offices, markets, Ricksaw /taxi stand, Hospitals, institutions etc. must have parking places. Vendors may not be allowed on roads and be provided separate places as temporary small market. more
This is one of the prospective in that direction. In any case, the owner of vehicle have to arrange for parking of his vehicle not abandoned on the road/ footpath in front of his house or any market place. If problem in market space / malls , let it use the public transport. Another point I also noticed that while A/C DTC busses are moving scantly filled in many a times. more
Developing multi story parking lots in every colony can be helpful in clearing congestion in Colonies more
MCD and its contractors who charge Parking in so many different ways within knowledge of Traffic Police, The sufferer is running around. more
Its very true, the government must rise to the need immediately and make our city more better for living too.... its high time, we rise and push the government for productive output too JAGI DELHI JAGO more
I am still not convinced with the suggestion for PPP Model to develop parking lots when the Transport Authorities have been charging extra one time amount towards public parking spaces at the time of registration of new vehicles. When appropriate planning is not exercised in the development of facilities in public domain what we can expect in the country. I quote an example of Saket Court Complex in New Delhi. Space of parking of vehicles of citizens within the court complex is not permitted and no proper facilities are developed or thought of. This is the way we get justice in our country when we are taught the indisciplined manners. more
