Parliament Consultative Committee's need to stop excursions

I propose that this circle take up the wastage of public money being done by parliament consultative committee meetings.

Every ministry has these meetings. MPs generally travel to a different city, stay in 5 or 7 star hotels (15000+ a night) for multiple nights, get all kinds of gifts and most of the expenses are bourne by the Public Sector Undertakings of our country and indirectly the tax payers.

I propose that all parliamentary consultative committee meetings are held locally in places like Govt bhavans and the most that should be offered is coffee/tea, snacks, lunch dinner. No goodies, gifts and no 5 and 7 star stays and high end rental cars. Obviously we will save big on air travel and first ac costs too. more

Stop consultative committees more
Why the parliamentarians need to stay in star hotels. All Districts and Tehsils - and more places are equipped with Govt. Circuit Houses and/or Inspection Bungalows of various Govt. Depts. PWD/Forest Dept/Police etc. Various Public Sector Enterprises/Undertakings are also have such facilities. There should be a blanket ban on all MPs/MLAs/Govt. Servants for stay in any hotel where Govt. accommodations are available, and if stay in a hotel becomes unavoidable due to reason(s) whatsoever , satay should be restricted in hotels of 3 star categories. more
Another beauty is all these people go abroad and when they come back they hardly implement any improvements seen in those countries.Specially I can talk of roads and footpaths we hardly see any improvement in Municipal (BMC) area roads and footpaths. more
Why only parliament committees all municipal councillor’s , MLAs go on jaunts to foreign countries in the name of study and info gathering ,but in fact they are on a holiday financed by state govts. more
If this is what is happening then it is disgusting. Please take the help of media and bring it to the knowledge of the public. Proper evidences must be provided, I feel. more
