Pashmina Standards
I recently read in news that the BIS has rolled out standards for pashmina shawls.
How can i know what I have at home is real or nakli pashmina? Are there testing centers where we can go? Are their tests at home we could do to find out?

The testing centre will be set up in Leh - and the standards include GI (Geographical Index), micron and DNA testing...and most importantly- hand manufacturing process - end to end. CCMI has nothing to do with true Pashmina. As for at-home testing - some characteristics of real Pashmina is the feel on the cheek and the warmth when held between the palms.
