This attachment depicting the Flight stairs and the ramp is taken at Trisulam Railway station at the Suburban section from Egmore to Tambaram, In Madras Division of Southern Railways. Very thoughtfully a choice has been given for the passenger as workers from Meenambakkam airport who like to take sub urban trains . Very thoughtful of the Railways. They have also provided escalators at Egmore Station as well as Tambaram stations for the passengers going up . Once again a thoughtful gesture .
It would be welcome to have escalators at both the stations for coming down also as it will relieve a lot of strain on the passengers carrying their baggage . I have seen the old and infirm, women ans students [traveling to and fro their Hostels with Books and Baggage ]struggling to to come down the stairs with their baggage .Egmore at least has the ramp on the northern side . Tambaram doesn't have . In the light of tambaram being upgraded now as a terminal for express Trains, Railways should kindly consider installing the escalators for the down wards movement also . That will be of great help to the passengers carrying baggage and relieve them from pain and stress. more

The escalator in Vizag is not working since years. Lifts are yet to be provided at all required points. Maintenance is awful. more

RAMP should be a common feature at each and every station, where there are stairs to climb. LIFT SERVICES at a nominal charge ( can be privatized) should be provided at all major stations for the convenience of passengers. CHETRAM KHEMRAM more

For the time being let the existing facility continue, as sophisticated system will cost Railway heavily. Improvements can be in a time bound manner. more
