The reserved compartments are being utilised by passengerswho have just bought the ticket straight from the counter. they sleep nears the door thereby locking the door, near toilet and keep on moving throughout the night to see if they can get the berth to sleep . no amount of complaint to the TT has any effect. he says they are also poor let them travel. you dont worry . they will do no harm. but some of those who travel like this especially youngsters keep sitting in the berths alloted to the reserved passengers, eat and throw garbage then and there and do not allow us to move about. the TT never turns up after one station. whereabout is not known. to whom to complain. is there any way to come out. also the toilet is stinking the water is not coming in the toilet and no one to question also. the flush water is not filled in. what is the purpose of travelling in reserved compartment when there is no safety for passengers since we have to be awake and vigilant. more
I had a bitter experience in Brindavan travelling from Bangalore to chennai. In reserved coach, full with unreserved passengers. Unable to even go to toilets. No checking, no TTEs. Same scene continued till Chenai. Where is safety and rights for reserved passengers more
In Kerala most of the reserved berths in sleeper coaches are occupied by persons with open tickets purchased just few minutes before the arrival of the train whereas the persons who reserved tickets will have to stand and at times pushed aside. There is no meaning for reservation in the highly educated state. No Ticket Examiner turns up.Even if he turns up, he checks the tickets of those who have reservation and leave the open ticket holders unquestioned. Either make all coaches unreserved or protect the rights of the persons on reservation. more
Sankara...that is why you need Uneducated Goonda's to teach these educated idiots a lesson. Don't worry, BJP is making inroads into Kerala...once they enter the state, you would stop complaining and look for another safe state to resettle. :) more
This is a BIG CURSE on the genuine passengers of Indian Railways. This has been happening since decades. The main issue is the NUISANCE VALUE. Floating passengers mingling with the bonafide passengers are of great concern. Another important point is that this poses a big SECURITY THREAT to the vulnerables. Passengers' articles and luggage become EASY TARGETS FOR STEALING. We all should call upon the Ministry of Railways to stop this practice and curtail the unauthorised intrusions completely, on an URGENT BASIS. more
