Passport in Ghaziabad
Need to get a passport for my younger daughter. Can someone describe real experience how it is like. What to do and what not to do? I assume it is now bribe free. more

I got 2 passports renewed. it went very smoothly. just get all the papers required - you will find a checklist on line. people come without drafts/affidavits and then get hassled that they are being made to run around. but if you follow the list on the net there is nothing more to be done. yes, getting the passport delivered is another matter. I have met people doing rounds of the P. office who say they have dispatched, post office say it has never reached them. so that is the weak link in the chain. more

Devika ji check on www.passport.gov.in and do as per the guideline it's very simple and easy to have passport. more

Devika ji, please note now there is a passport seva kendra (psk) a helpdek setup by Passport authority all over Delhi/ NCR. You can visit the site //passportindia.gov.in and post your daughter's details, if she is minor / dependent, then you need to authenticate that by posting your passport details and relevant proofs. A meeting date with psk will be given to you (you can choose the nearest location), on that day you need to visit them alongwith your daughter with the physical file (documents) for filing the application. more

Dear Devika Ji Itâs absolutely bribe free. In last 20 years, i have taken more than 7 passports belongs to me and my family (spent hardly 2 hours in Passport office). I had never given any bribe to anybody even there is no need to do it and nobody demanded. It is a very simple processor. First of all, you need to have appointment with passport officer through Govt. Passport website. Then you please download Passport form from this site and read it carefully. Bring all required documents specially âResidence Proofâ (Whatever and how many you have) in original while going to passport office. There is a âTatkalâ scheme also in which some more money is required (Not bribe), by that you can have your Passport in your hand with in five working days (including submission day). I have taken all the times in âTatkalâ scheme only and within five working days. However, nowadays you need to spend almost half a day in passport office due to much more crowd.
