pl advocate to FM to consider pension received to be exempt from tax. It is our contribution made during struggling days and what we get is a meager amount and that too taxable. more
follow the Ad of IT dept , our tax is for our investment. Pension is the accrual from various deposit we do while in harness. taxing pension is misnomer. while we pay for PF etc we even pay for our future salary, not only pension of others. after certain years Govt can fry the fish from the oil of the fish itself. kindly see the Ad that they can give me the pension of 40,000 if i start paying 4000 Rs pm. and there many other. Govt is no way a looser in giving pension. we are supposed to pay only 6% of basic in pf but we pay much more than that. in such case govt does not give us more pension......like govt does not hike your pay for disposing more files per day. Govt is Govt....steps like Elephant. more
I believe people are still living in Alice's Wonderland when they believe pensioners are earning more than while they were in service but at the same time they themselves are against any hike intax rates more
