Personal Data Protection - Start from scratch

Govt is going to withdraw the Personal DataProtection Bill, 2021 as reported by Joint Committee of Parliament (the 2019 Bill was introduced & referred to JCP which submitted its report last year)
This is so sad. For years they have been working on this. So much public money wasted and now withdrawn.

Can LocalCircles please raise this issue. Your last survey said telcos banks compromising data. Now no action can be taken against them.

All personal data can't be kept out of public eyes under the cover of privacy laws. more

They are not abandoning the project. They are going back to the drawing boards. Privacy Laws should be basic. The more complicated you make it the more scope for loopholes. more
