I am from Betiyan Foundation, meerut we are success in our mission of swachhta,we do clean the colonies making plan. our group is full of ladies. more
All are good points, but the difficulty comes with Point 9. NGO's should be roped in for this one. more
Point no. 9 is the most crucial, and the toughest. If I see someone littering, here is my strategy: I fold my hands and say to him," प्रभू, please गंदा मत करिए|" more
We live in Mission, Dhalipara Road, lamp post number 210/10, gali no. 30, po. R. C. Thakurani, PS. Haridevpur, Kolkata 700104. It falls under the jurisdiction of KMC. But there is no approach road. Gali no. 30 is mostly kachcha road. Ambulance cannot negotiate this road. There is no sewrage line, garbage are thrown all around, no Kolkata municipal corporation sweeper can be seen. Repeated requests from residents have fallen on deaf ears of Mayor to councillor. If this happens in Kolkata proper , what the honble PRIME MINISTER can expect from the state of west bengal? more
Dear SBM,1 TO 3 are really people's own business.4 to9 are good points. But it isn't easy trying to "educate" people. That is the government's job.It should have happened years ago in our country.Even now, flood all media channels and options-radio,tv,newspaper,public places ads on a daily basis 10 times a day.At the same time put dustbins at every half kilometre ,public conveniences at every kilometre or two, make water(controlled taps) available. And hopefully you will have put up all these facilities ina a year.A year AFTER putting up facilities and running them properly, start imposing fines for disobeying rules. more
