Pet Dogs : one of the several issues

People in our urban society everywhere in India have started to follow a new trend of keeping dog/s in there houses for just to have like in Bollywood stories, Western culture, and daily TV serials... and now seems, it is not mostly for any defense purpose... All these well literate people come out of their houses with their beloved pets with a stick in their hand showing others.. every morning and evening just to spoil all the common places, footpaths, public streets, in front of other's house etc. It is really shameful but they don't feel even 10%.... I think, initially there should be some kind of well defined (minimal) law / rule to overcome all these... At least for others to have some kind of power to oppose or stop them quoting that... These can be removed gradually. Most of our human friends are like that, they need to be forced to be kept in discipline else, it is very simple principle in our society - I am Sorry, Mujhe Kya, Mera Kya, Mera Kaam banta, Thoda adjust kar lo bhai ... etc. Love for Animal is fine but should check for any cost also... Just wandering, what kind of thinking is that? Why they do not make them do in their personal washroom itself...? more

I too favour Mr Anil Joshi & friends that the menace of open defecation & urinating here & there is country's biggest problem. Street dogs or pets are in minimal numbers but yes everyone should be strongly support the Swachh Bharat Mission's objective. I too have pet but we have taught her doing at our premises only. more
We always encourage and educate all owners to clean after their pet. Seldom the owners follow it up. This is the main reason our pets are not allowed in public parks etc and many people hate dogs for this. more
It is really unfortunate to see a post like this where you may be talking about 2% of the whole population who maybe doing this as the way you've mentioned. Do you think as a human being you are in anyway useful to society? Dogs are far better than human beings. Do not consider yourself a great specie. I'm sure you'll understand one day in case you become sane. more
What about cleansing stupids like you to be a better human being and teaching how to think straight. Cleanliness comes from inside, so clean your mind before looking elsewhere. more
In America if you take your dog out, you have to carry a bag to clean the poop.. Indians need to be educated on this.. What's more Indians are not exactly law abiding.. We think it macho to bypass laws!!! I agree with the writer because I have myself seen people parading their dog in the mornings and evenings only to let them ease themselves on the streets!! But street dogs, cows and Buffalo's dirty Indian streets more than the privately owned dogs!!! In England you don't see cows and Buffalo's on the streets. There's something we can learn on how to manage all these animals that we let loose on the streets!!! The go-rakshaks, instead of bashing up people of minority communities for possessing beef should see how they can take care of bovines and dogs that roam our streets!!! more
