PF investing in equities some $1B
Anyone knows what is the criteria that will be used for investment by the PF organization. Will be helpful to understand, esp are there any risk implications. more

Recent announcement says only 5000 crores have been invested from Pension fund. Let us wait and watch the results. more

There is a valid point given by Prof Umesh Kumar. This needs to be analysed before some one tries his hand for his own betterment rather than the PF. more

Pf should generally avoid investing in equities and there is no financial expert/analyst to take decision of time of investing and withdrawing depending upon the market, as fixed returns are required in equity. Even if a small nominal amount is to be invested, the timing of market has to be seen and it should be systematic investment rather than one time/lump-sum investment For an experiment not more than 105 should be invested in equity. more
