Govt savs if you have one UAN number with that you can get amount into that by present employer. But it is seen it is not happening. New employer is putting amount in new pf account. I think you have to merge later by taking with EPFO as you have UAN number. Let us see govt can do something on this as they told merging recently. more
Now a days you can find out online balance in yr pf account by way of uid number . Check and ask for confirmation from previous employer about transfer of pf amount and details more
It is a perennial problem and would likely to continue for all time to come. As a beginning I suggest a remedial measure for the consideration of all the Circle Members. After comments/discussion some simple but effective measure can emerge. A few steps are suggested. 1.Every person employing even one person to run his business/trade should have a Bank Account to meet his liability/responsibility towards his employee. 2.Every employee will have a bank account either in the same Bank where the employer has his account or in any bank of his choice to receive all his dues from the employer. 3.Employer would prepare wage/salary bill containing the name, identification number (Aadhaar would serve the purpose--even if there is change in the employment his ID would not change). The wage bill contains details like basic pay, DA, HRA, Bonus, etc. on the Deduction side you will have the PF, Gratuity (I feel that each day the employee should earn gratuity. If one has served for say 3 years 4 months and 20 days, he would get credit of gratuity for this period). Income Tax etc. 3.On receipt of the wage bill the employer's bank would transfer the salary element to the individual employee; PF and Gratuity would go to the individual's PF & Gratuity account; Income Tax deduction would go to the Income Tax Authorities and so on. The employer would have no say or control over it. 4.If the employee changes his employment this drill would be followed so that he continues to get his salary and his PF/Gratuity/Tax etc go to the respective head. In his own interest the employee should continue with his Bank Account with no change so that there is continuity. It should be treated as life long Salary Bank Account. 5.I would add no further suggestion pending response, comments etc. from others. Lastly, I would request the Circle Incharge and its members to start a separate site where this suggestion and other inputs from others can be discussed at length. Let it be a small but decisive beginning. It would be my privilege and duty to come with further elaborate suggestion, once the Administrator/Circle Incharge initiates a move on a different site. Sir, My PF account has been transferred from Bangalore to Kochi account on 14/03/2012. But EPF Kochi authorities had credited the amount in my Kochi account on 22/03/2013 only. I have lost the interest for the year 2012-13 to the tune of Rs.1.50 lacs. I had sent many representations to the EPF authorities. Even I had sent a complaint to Ministry of Labour & Employment also. Nothing happened yet. How should I move forward to get the interest that was lost due to none of my fault. more
I feel such issues need to be reported to their Vigilance department as issues arises only because of some employees not working for the reasons best known to them. May be approach to Vigilance Officer may also not bring any result. But that will give you an opportunity to report the matter to CVC. more
hi sagar, to accumlate the PF for both previous and current employeer, you need to intiate the PF transfer request and u can do it through online using UAN portal. if you already done this, then u can check the current employer PF passbook to know the status. also, PF tranfer status can be visible in online and u can take appropriate action if some thing went wrong or declined with a reason. more
