pick my garbage but dont dump anywhere close to me
So sector 18 atta has garbage on both sides and no one of the noida kachra karmacharis are picking it up. I guess thats because there is no place to dump because where ever a dump site is selected, people of noida do halla, protest, yagna. So we want our garbage picked up but not dumped close to us. Whats the solution? Can we come up with something constructive? Authority why dont you consult with people online and in person and figure out how a waste to wealth plant can be created then just having a plain dump site.

Faulty planning of NOIDA city is cause of this problem. Only solution seems is managing of wet and solid waste by villages, sectors, markets, malls,societies, hotels etc.by themselves by using various waste management techniques available in the country. The capital & operational cost should be borne by local authorities. more

The similar situation is arising from the initial ruling by the NGT that in a specified radius from the Noida Bird Sanctuary, no construction should take place, but money has surely exchanged hands several years ago during period of SP and BSP and huge construction was permitted and is even already constructed in Noida- sector 18 and vicinity. WHO CARES? Not many would care as long as even the so-called Chief Engineer of Noida Authority gets crores in his personal kitty. Surprisingly he is still not given any punishment for his marvellous activities? WHY? How many Judges and others have earned crores from this apart from the Political giants of yester-years? more

In the first place, NOIDA Authority has auctioned plots to builders without creating a proper infrastructure for the related activities and it seems that none of the builders was bound with to deal all this type of nuisance. It is too late for any proper solution except that some of the plots where builders are yet to start work should be taken back from builders and used for creating the facilities needed for the residents . Further expansion of NOIDA/ Greater NOIDA should be stopped where it is now. more

Although frustrating to remind the Noida Authority time & again that garbage collection & disposal is their legitimate role, no one appears to be seriously devoted to this issue. Is the intention to make Modi's 'Clean India' campaign fail? I thought UP is being ruled by BJP & Noida is a part of UP. Then what is the confusion. Why is Noida authority unable to solve this single problem emanating from almost all the sectors? Before 2019 elections, people are keen to see which all problems of theirs (like garbage disposal, Traffic control, covering the open drains near the schools, parking of trucks & buses on the Dadri Road, safety of senior citizens etc..) have been solved. At least the plans & timelines for their implementation should be shared with the public. more

Why should we start the blame game by recollecting who was in power in the UP state? Our concern is 'now and the present'. If the officialdom is responsible for this racket, what prevents the Govt to restructure the set up in different districts? Well, whatever be the approach adopted, the current Govt only has to answer the public queries. And 'garbage disposal' is an important area to address urgently since with the Monsoons about to set in, there can be both disease & public nuisance. more

True that BJP is now ruling the state of UP, and so we have all started making lot of noise about cleanliness and garbage. Hardly anyone even talks about the mess created by BSP and SP during their authoritarian regimes????? What were we doing then? Maybe we were too scared of the goondas of these parties to even say anything?
Let us be clear that even though the BJP is now ruling the state, the officialdom is still more or less the same. Ultimately it is the officialdom that has to govern. I doubt that much will get achieved in rotten states like UP until this 'useless' garbage finds its place in the Garbage dumps. more

Actually it is the officials and agencies who have approved the construction of Residences around an area earmarked for a Dump Site, who are responsible for this. It is they who have to be punished. Yes... also the concerned agencies have to find out ways and means of collecting, separating and re-using garbage. So many articles have been published indicating how plastic is being used for surfacing Roads. WHY IS THIS NOT BEING DONE? IS THERE ANY PROBLEM? I understand that some technique was developed by Tatas at Jamshedpur, and also similar technique developed by an engineer in Tamil Nadu. Why are such innovations not being followed? This would reduce the basic requirement of huge areas required just for storage of garbage comprising of plastic rubbish. How many of us as Citizens of the country are prepared to forego completely the use of plastic bags and similar packaging material? WE also have an important role to play. more
