Under normal conditions in stores, classrooms and offices, exhaled breath particles disperse, carried by air currents and, depending on the ventilation system, are replaced by fresh air roughly every 15 to 30 minutes. But erecting plastic barriers can change air flow in a room, disrupt normal ventilation and create “dead zones,” where viral aerosol particles can build up and become highly concentrated. more
This is the very self contradicting practice in the name of covid protection. It is not only about plastic barriers, each and every (100%) measures in the name of covid protection multiply the problem. Perhaps this is what World Hellth Organization and their agents want. more
The idea of Plastic barriers as Dr. Korada said, are to protect the Office staff mainly as otherwise the Viral load will be very heavy on them and they will get infected despite mask. Now the visitors come and go with Mandatory Masks . The exposure is not high on them. The office premises should be spraying disinfectant before the staff enter and and before closing the Office hopefully. Is ther any other tangible suggestion to safe guard both the staf and the visitors that can be adopted Economically? It will not be Economically viable to use Air purifiers or send jets of disinfectants on a continuous basis. Also India is inching close to half way mark in vaccinating the population with single dose. If the visitors are careful following the Health Protocols and finish the business and leave the office, they should be safe. more
