Platform cleanliness
No strict regulation and disciplining. No dustbins on the platforms - if at all, one or two or three at some ends - who will go there? See platforms in various countries - I found dust bins aplenty there. No action on spitters or trash throwers. What is needed is strict fining or even arresting and jailing such persons. Let the Government officially ban pan chewing in public. That will solve much of the ugly problem in Hyderabad at least. If we admonish the passengers they come to fight with us. Let there be police or home guards to do that job and strictly. You place constables in the lone First Class compartment but they are more needed in other compartments and let them see that ugly, dirtying and ticket-less travellers are not there in the compartment and also no foot boarding. How dangerous to get into or get out of a local train nowadays!? And what is more important is availability of more trains and more facilities and punctuality - at least Indian punctuality (say 10-15 minutes delay at the most) is not maintained. Why not two to three trains come successively so that rush will not be there and also order can be there? more

Instead of putting worthless advertisements on TV monitors fixed at your railway stations, show Railway stations from other countries and how it is kept, how people care for their stations and the cleanliness while your citizens awaits trains. more

THE R.P.F AND THE PASSENGERS HAVE TO BE ALERT.CCTV MUST TELL WHO IS UNAUTHORISED.IF ANY DOUBT,PROMT ACTION HAVE TO TAKE.THIS IS INDIA.BEFORE DEPARTURE OF THE TRAIN ALL PASSENGERS ARE REQUESTED THE RAILWAY AUTHORITY TO COOPRATE WITH THEM FOR SAFETY,SECURITY AND COMFRTABLE JOURNEY.I THINK THAT IT IS EASY TO FIND OUT THE CRIMINAL EYES.IN THE TRAIN NOBODY SHOULD NOT ALLOW IN PASSENGERS CABIN.PROTECTION IS NOW MUST.THE PUNISHMENT WILL BE GIVEN AS PER RULE. more

Platform cleaning . Railways should use heavy automation in the cleaning process . The garbage that is collected should be handed over to be recycled and bio-waste to be processed for manure . Presently it is seen that the platforms are cleaned but the dust and the garbage is thrown in the railway track corridor . The collection should be proper and disposal also to the identified spot or location . The local municipality can be instructed to collect the same from the location . Most of the urban, tire ii and tire iii municipalities of town have started processing the garbage with door to door collection so the railway's also should co-operate with them or rather instruct them . Using water for cleaning on daily basis is making the station more ugly as the foot falls cannot be controlled . so dry cleaning is recommended and thrice in a week cleaning with water jets is recommended . Proper hose-keeping contract should be given so that even the walls and the ceilings of rooms and the roof tops are kept clean . Regular painting job ARC is to done by the maintenance department . more
