Please make Women and Child Abuse prevention a high priority

The case in Maharashtra on child abuse and the UP rapes are terrible but very real examples of state of the nation.
On too of that we have leaders like Akhiles and Mulayam who make statements like they dont care, everything is ok and boys are boys. An awareness drive of both what's wrong and punishment awareness is needed.

Please make this high priority topic, conduct review and submit findings to Menaka Gandhi and PM and any others. more

SNEHA GOEL STRESSED THE NEED OF THE PROMINENT AND PRIME ISSUE OF WOMEN AND FHILD ONCE AGAIN SINCE NOTHING YET IS EVEN STARTED FOR IMPLEMENTING IN THE NATION. LAST MONTH THE INDIAN POLICE ARRESTED A TEAM OF LADIES PURCHASED AND EXPORTING WOMEN TO MALAISIA ETC., AND THEIR GANGS ARE WORKING OUT THE EXPORT THROUGH CHENNAI . YESTERDAY THE REALISED INDIAN POLICE ARRESTED ONE AGED LADY OF A SUCH TEAM / GANG PURCHASING AND EXPORTING BABIES / CHILDREN . OUR CO-PARTICIPANT SNEHA'S AGONY IS TO BE PROPERLY DEALTWITH OUR DEEMED SUPPORT ON THE REQUIRED REMIDIAL ACTIONS TO SAVE THE INDIAN FUTURE YOUTH AND THE INDIAN WOMEN FROM SALE AND EXPORT . UNDOUBTLY, IT IS THE FIRST AND MOREMOST CONSTITUTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY OF NOT ONLY THE INDIAN UNION, BUT ALSO ALL THE SATATES UNDER THE ARTICLE 51 - A ATLEAST. INDEED, IT IS REALLY A SUBJECT THAT EVEN THE INDIAN SUPREME COURT HAS TO SELF DEAL THROUGH SUE-MOTO. more
No doubt "Basic amenities" are very essential but along with this the mindset of people need to be changed. Male members of the society should be taught to respect females right from childhood and this must come from home more
A shockingly high percentage of rapes (particularly in rural areas) appear to be due to lack of "basic amenities". I think focusing on creation of these amenities inside the house would significantly reduce such heinous atrocities by eliminating "crime opportunities". I think the following would help in this: 1. Ensure amenities are available in each and every house constructed across India. a) Collaborate with Corporate bodies in the region to finance the construction of these (as part of Corporate Social Responsibility - similar to what Sulabh group offered in Badaun) b) Restrict construction permissions/ regularization requires presence of these facilities prior to approval 2. Create separate legal structure to fast-track ANY crime related to women & children 3. Education womenfolk in "self-defense" techniques (on the lines of US) 4. Work on menfolk to bring in a change in their "outdated attitude towards women" more
