I am a retired person aged 63. My wife expired in 1998. I had two sons, elder one is married and living separately in another city. Younger one was unmarried and was living with me. We booked an under construction flat in noida joinly in 2014. Now my younger son has expired. The flat is still under construction and likely to be offered for possession in next about six months. What is the procedure for converting the booking in my sole name and how much time it may take. more
At this stage - Advisable to take the possession of the flat, else the Builder may create some problem. Once the possession is obtained/taken then submit the application along with Death certificate to become the sole owner. more
You need to apply for Surviving Member Certificate which will be issued by Tisildhar in 14 days timeline of your jurisdiction. Then submit this Surviving Member Certificate along with death Certificate to builder. If there are no claimants then you will become Sole Owner of property. But I notice you have an elder Son as well. He might claim his share. He has to relinquish his share in order to make you sole owner of the property.
