Pls join hands so airline cancellation fee is reduced
Please sign another good petition friends that demands that govt end airline loot of obnoxious airline cancellation fee and bring it down to 20% of airfare. Very reasonable.

I travel to Delhi from Kolkata and back every month. whenever I had to cancel my ticket, I get back around 900 to 1200/- out of the 8s. 8000 to 12000 I have paid for the ticket. This is pure looting in the name of cancellation as the seat is immediately resold at a premium. Airlines earn two fold, one from the huge amount they deduct as cancellation and the enhanced charges they get from the new passenger. The total amount of cancellation on the total fare paid should not be more than 20 to 25%. If the cancellation is done 48 hours before, it should be 20%. Between 48 to 24 hours, 40% and after that 50%. more
