Police Bribery

This is a very important subject. Police on retail transactions is number 1 bribe taker.

My question is where do these corrupt police officials store their monies. That is where the Govt should crack down.

If that means extra surveillance at jewellers, mobile phone dealers, liquor stores, other places, so be it.

Fear must set it the corrupt. Only then corrupt and corruption wil reduce. more

Rightly said Govt. should track down on such inhuman acts. Also required is resistance from the general public where awareness and stopping the so called affluent from giving bribes is carried out. Corruption at levels is to be condemned and brought down with heavy hand more
You suggest surveillance at jewelers, liquor outlets etc. But what about politicians who declare quantum jump in assets when they submit affidavit before elections. Here taxman has to pro actively investigate the source of this manifold increase in assets. This I don't think is happening. more
Taxmen sail in the same boat. more
THERE IS A VERY VERY OLD NOVEL BY "MUNCHI PREMCHAND" NAMED AS "SATYANARAYAN KA PRASAD" I thin one must read this story & he will know the disbursement of corrupt money disbursement chain etc. so far where they keep I feel for that we need to investigate property after Police retires from service. more
The legislatures and Parliament are increasing the rates of fine and penalty exhorbitantly. Take traffic rule violation fines, incone tax, GST etc. This is forcing common man to pay bribe and get away from heavy fines. Violations continue and penalties are being paid off the record at low rates. Enforcing officers are making money and finding better opportunities. They are eager to harass people to get these bribes by threatening people with heavy fines. The new legislations are increasing corruption including the tax laws like GST, IT etc. Any law which is unreasonable has a bad effect on the country. more
Higher the tax/ fine rate, bigger the corruption. more
A good suggestion and the central govt and not the state Govt. should take note and follow this suggestion; after all IPS posting is under the central govt. more
A police constable if having close connection with MLA/MINISTER/CM is much more powerful than SP or DGP. If they suspend or dismiss corrupt or disobedient constable, netaji will reinstate him or transfer the SP or DGP. In Punjab, no constable can be transferred without the prior approval of CM. Practically, DGP or CS are just head clerks for netaji of ruling dispensation in every State. more
