Political and Official corruption
Political and Official corruption is probably the highest in Bangalore. For everything and at every stage, from approvals to Khathas, one has to pay huge money to officials and politicians. Corruption is rampant in BDA/BBMP/BMRDA for approvals, BESCOM for electricity connections, Pollution Control Board for clearances, Local bodies for Khathas. Apart from this, one has to bribe corporators, politicians, Revenue Authorities, office-bearers of SC Associations etc. Further, corruption is rampant in Registrar Offices for registration, ECs etc.. Politicians and Officials are hand in glove in this dastardly crime. more

Just bought a small peace (Less than 1 Acre) oof agriculture land in Kanakpura taluk. Tired paying hefty bribes minimum 20k to each department for all Approvals and new coonections to all departments like Survey, Tahsildar, and many more are in pipeline. and all this just to do little agriculture work. more

Sorry if I sound so sad and disappointed,but, I am venting my feelings. I am observing daily how the people of this state are suffering under the poor or lack of administration. I have had no BSNL landline connection for 10 days now, nobody in BSNL cares. Power outages occur and the AEEs dont even know about it. Illegal power tapping, illegal phone tapping, and all such evils have made this state a golden goose for making money by corrupt politicians. more

However, we all have accepted this fate and have decided to move on with life. As long as some semblance of development in the state is visible, we are happy. Our young people have the seen the futility of voting and have stopped voting in elections by and large. more

Being a Congress run state with a puppet govt by Kumaraswamy, corruption is accepted way of life in karnataka. Corruption is in our Genes. We cannot ever get rid of it. People take up jobs in government only because they can make money by practising corruption. That being, not the exception, but the rule in karnataka, I fail to see what any citizen of Karnataka can do about it. Even the lowest employee of the govt is dragged into corruption with reluctance. What can anyone do. No politician or party can solve this deep-rooted genetic disorder. more

Money spinning offices of Bengaluru, Sub Registrar office, BBMP, BESCOM, BWSSB, Local MLA & Corporator . For every stage of the construction these bodies collect Bribes for everything. Plan Sanction, Dumping of Construction material, Electric Connection, Water and Sanitary connection, Registration for everything one need to pay bribe. more
