MOST PEOPLE ENTER POLITICS FOR GETTING ELECTED FOR NAME,FAME,POWER AND MAKE MONEY. VERY FEW JOIN POLITICS TO SERVE THE SOCIETY, NATION AND MANKIND. SUCH PEOPLE ARE AN ENDANGERED SPICES. NARENDER BHAI MODI, MAHATMA GANDHI, ATAL BHARI VAJPAI, L.K. ADVANI, SARDAR PATEL ETC. ARE SOME OF GREAT SELFLESS LEADERS.
FOR MOST IT IS A BUSINESS. THEY INVEST HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY, AT THE TIME OF ELECTION. THEY GIVE LOTS OF ATTRACTIONS TO POOR, UNEDUCATED MASSES TO VOTE FOR THEM. THEY DISTRIBUTE MONEY, LIQUOR, SARIS, AND OTHER GADGETS/GOODIES THROUGH THE LOCAL MOHALLA LEADERS/ PRADHANS IN RETURN FOR PROMISE/CONFIRMED VOTES IN THEIR FAVOR.
AS SOON AS THEY COME TO POWER, THEY START EARNING HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY THROUGH ALL LEGAL/ILLEGAL MEANS. THEIR LEGAL ASSETS GROW AND BLACK MONEY GAINED THROUGH ILLEGAL MEANS IS INVESTED IN GOLD/LAND AND EVEN IN FOREIGN ACCOUNTS.
THEY CORRUPT THE TOP OFFICIALS AND BUREAUCRACY IN CORRUPT PRACTICES AND GIVE THEM TARGETS TO COLLECT MONEY FOR THEM.
THE HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY NEEDED FOR FIGHTING ELECTION, DISCOURAGES THE HONEST PEOPLE FROM FIGHTING ELECTIONS. POLITICAL PARTIES AND ELECTION COMMISSION SHOULD MEET SOME OF THE EXPANSES OF FIGHTING ELECTIONS, SO THAT SELFLESS SOCIAL WORKERS CAN COME FORWARD TO FIGHT ELECTIONS. more

In the good old 50's to 70's Corporate Entities used hang around Political personnel for favours and to speed up their sanction process with Government machinery. But gradually over period of time due to so many variables corporates have started manipulating political arena for the benefits like, NATURAL RESOURCES LIKE OIL & GAS, COAL MINING, IRON ORE, OTHER MINERALS, PRIVATISATION, ERODING PUBLIC SECTOR GIANTS EFFICIENCY.Eg. Telecom Spectrums, Electricity generation, Gas Pricing, Import duty structure, duty draw backs for their Equipment. ERODING PUBLIC SECTOR GIANTS EFFICIENCY is a topic by itself. One small example ONGC did all the prospecting in KG Basin and Reliance bid and reaping the benefits and profiteering billions of dollars that belong ONGC or Govt. of India. In ELECTRICITY GENERATION , AIR INDIA not being flying on profitable non metro sector etc. Corporates who are direct beneficiaries, are invited by the Finance ministry for pre Budget preparation sessions. Other majority stakeholders who are make up 90% of population like Common men , Farmers, environmentalists are given a miss. Most the politicians as well as parties are directly sponsored or paid for by the corporate lobby. More over there are more businessmen and contractors in Assemblies and Loksabha & Rajya Sabha. Politics has become expensive with money and liquor being distributed liberally. In most of India Middle class hardly votes. Even strong leaders like Vajpayee and Advani did not bring the necessary necessary reforms in Ethics of politics. I had high hopes on Mr NAREN BHAI MODI, OUR PM, when he came to power. But seeing how things went in the last year I am very disappointed. Being clean and honest by himself is not enough for a leader who is leading our nation. A great leader should have the courage, tenacity and toughness to take and implement decisions that will benefit vast population of India not the selected and blessed few corporates. A great leader should have a clear vision,strong ethics , tolerance and patience. Bringing about a change will be met with serious resistance. But only a strong leader will be the catalyst for change. Change will come. Remember, Mr PV Narasimha Rao shepherded Reforms change in adverse conditions in 90's. Mr PV was great enough to allow Mr Man mohan to take the credit. Our PM Mr Naren Modi should also have the courage to root out corruption and Money from Politics. Mr Modi should frame policies that benefit 1.3 billion of population. Let the corporate earn their profits and benefits without showering undue advantages and benefits on them. This will clear corruption and money out of political system. more

Politics is now a negative term or a kind of a abuse. People in general talk you are doing politics means you are doing wrong and harming others.Why this is happening? Because majority of the people in politics followed by their chamchaas are corrupt. People who fail in other way of living join politics. more

Political corruption will never end but can be reduced if a Govt. like BJP remains in power. more

Political corruption starts from money spent in election. If election money is reduced t minimum or near to zero, the political corruption can be drastically minimized. more
