POLLUTED DRINKING WATER IN DELHI
MOST OF THE SEVERE PIPES IN DELHI HAVE OUTLIVED THEIR LIFE AND ARE LEAKING. SO IS THE CASE WITH THE FRESH WATER CARRYING PIPES. FREQUENTLY THE SEVER WATER ENTERS IN THE WATER PIPES DURING DAYTIME AND NIGHT TIMES WHEN THERE IS NO FRESH WATER PUMPING AND PIPES ARE RELATIVELY EMPTY. THIS IS RESULTING INTO A VERY SERIOUS WATER POLLUTION PROBLEM. THE FRESH WATER IS MIXED WITH THE TOILET-SEVER WATER. THIS WILL RESULT IN SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES.
DESPITE CONSTANT COMPLAINTS OF DIRTY WATER BEING SULLIED NO ONE TAKES CARE OF THE COMPLAINT.
WITH THE PERMISSION OF FOUR FLOORS ON PLOTS IN DELHI. DELHI HOUSES HAVE MULTIPLIED MANY TIMES. THIS IS RESULTING IN EXTRA PRESSURE ON THE SEWAGE LINES. AS A RESULT THE SEWAGE PIPES ARE VERY OFTEN CLOGGED AND DRAINS OVER FLOW IN OPEN. IT IS HIGH TIME THAT THE CAPACITY OF THE SEWAGE PIPES IS ARGUMENTED WITH HIGHER CAPACITY PIPES OR ADDITIONAL PIPES ARE LAID TO MEET THE LOAD.

There is no justification for Institutions/Organizations of various kinds such as the following being located in Delhi with no linkages such as backward, lateral, or forward linkages, justifying their location in Delhi--Research Establishments, Universities, Courts, Industrial Establishments. Dear Members, The matter raised by Vinod Sahni ji is quite genuine and related to Delhi Jal Board being managed by IAS Cadre people who do not have sense of any responsibility. I have observed new installation of Sewer Pipe Lines and Potable Water Supply line in our colony, Freedom Fighters Enclave, Neb Sarai, New Delhi-110068. The work was being carried out at sub-standard. I raised a query on the same and DJB Authorities did not bother at all to visit and check the installed work. I have written off DJB as an organisation of any worth in current day of technology. The Nature or God could only save Indian People from the hands of the Corrupt Practices. more

There are various issues like, saving potable water, use of boosters in main line. I think if area wise complaint is made to DJB they are attended. Recently DJB has issued a notification wherein all details are being collected for proper supply of water. cases of tampering the main supply line also be brought to the attention of DJB. NO doubt supply pipes have outlived their life which needs to be replaced it will help sorting out many water borne diseases. more
