Pollution Facts and Accountability - Need to ask

- Delhi is world’s most polluted city and capital

- In November, Delhi AQI breached 1200 mark

- Children are attending classes with masks on

- Public health emergency is declared

- Clean air is the right of every citizen.

Jet-setting politicians rarely breathe the same air as ordinary citizens. They sit in AC offices installed with air purifiers and windows closed. These politicians and political parties are entrusted with the task of welfare of citizens. When they go door to door seeking votes, welfare is an underlying promise.

We must ask Central and State Govt why they failed to tackle an issue that is killing thousands each year and making hundreds of thousands of other sick. more

I support you fully as it's more difficult now then ever..we all must stand together against anyone responsible, If we check pm 2.5 of today it stands 300 for Delhi , 70 for Mumbai ,and 65 for Pune , why only delights are forced to live in such bad conditions more
Public outcry & protest must become a mass movement.Difficulty in doing so is the INSIDIOUS nature of the danger posed by the partially unburnt hydrocarbon adsorbed ultrafine mineral matter, unseeable to the naked eyes. Everyone in Delhi NCR should be wearing breathing masks when outdoors for extended time period. Air pollution from particulate matter raised its ugly head first in Delhi in 1980’s.People never flinched then.At least, the public is squirming now. There should be an FM radio dedicated to arousing consciousness of public about need for action NOW. Public itself must do its bit by adopting a simple lifestyle. more

It has been widely discussed and even Courts have taken cognizance of the same but alas no results. We should make it a mass movement with mass leaves/absentism, candle march what ever to make the Government take effective actions to mitigate the same and not just pay lip service more
Hi, I am resident of Dwarka. there are vast land, either owned by DDA/ SDMC, which can be used to plant trees. this shall increase Oxygen Level and also enhance greenery in particular to0 Dwarka and General Delhi. The Schools, located in the proximity to the identified lands, can be requested to adopt one such land and involve the children's in this drive. For Example, the Govt Boys School, Sector:4, can be asked to adopt the land , which is currently used by the Modern Convent School Bus Crew , as open toilet, which is also creating un-hygienic environment to the School children's and also the residents of Hun- Sab Cghs. more
