Poor condition of roads under toll - ? malpractices - ?

Concept of toll was to facilitate - partnership in development of roads.
Build, operate, transfer.
It has become a target of malpractices.
- Location of Toll naka ? charge imposed where not envisaged.
- Charge even under construction stage ?
- Full rate Charged even on incomplete roads
- Charge continues ( collusion / dereliction ) even after the term
( set higher through evil practices)
- safety rules not followed during construction # people have lost lives

# Nonexistent supervision - poor quality work
Time to set up a SIT to set the things right

Pls suggest views /remedies. more

I believe proper audit of records of this firms can help fix lots of issues. The process is there but not followed properly. If you follow it then these companies will not dare, inflate things in the books and will show the real expense. If no black money is generated, then the corruption will automatically come down more
Poor infrastructure - Recently BJP govt came up with a proposal of imposing Hindi after much hue and cry it turned into promoting Hindi- why I am saying this here is because i am going to say about a Hindi movie ( Now i don't remember the name of the movie) in which actor Akshay Kumar is shown as a road contractor .That movie gives the true insight of how a road is made by a contractor in INDIA ( THE MOVIE STORY APPLIES from kashmir to kanyakumari). Another Hindi documentary on New Delhi in Door Darshan ( lot of channel and one keeps flicking remote and one channel comes in the front) its showing water logging and City planing. The Gentle man in the DDK video described in best possible manner that how drainage system should be taken care off before a city comes up in a place. HERE I WANT TO SAY WE JUST KNOW EVERY THING JUST EVERY THING BUT OUR PEOPLE HAVE THE MOST ROTTEN DNA IN THE WORLD AND WE RELISH HAVING THE MOST ROTTEN INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE WORLD. I JUST PRAY GOD FOR SAVING US .YOU PEOPLE WILL ASK BHAIYA AIYSA KIO BHAI ? MY ANSWER IS UPPER WALE KE DUA SE WORLD WAR ONE AUR WORLD WAR 2 HINDUSTAN KE UPPER SE NAHI GUJRA AGER AISA HOTA TOE AAJ TAK SAAB KE SAB BOMBED AREA VAISE KA VAISE HI RAHATA -BHAIYA AEI TOE WORLD WAR KA MONUMENT HAI -UPPER WALE KE DUA SE EK RUPEA DE DIYO. more
Strictly, There should be some regulations so can put all Toll Plaza Contract Company under control. We pay Toll to avail good roads, cover distance in lesser time if not getting that so what is use of paying. There should be a Electronic Complaint Machine i.e ATM which should be installed on Toll Plaza & when ever some one face trouble due to Toll Plaza Operations , Highway Maintenance, Toll Plaza Smooth Operation, Highway Safety, Cattle Roaming on Highway, Highway Traffic etc. can put complaint on such machine & matter will resolve in max. 15 days . Also for each Proven Complaint , should be Penalty to Toll Plaza Contract Company..... more
I think Maharshtra tops the list, being the topmost state having highest number of tolls.. A new breed of corrupt politicians & bureaucrats called 'toll mafia' have come up in the recent past... more
I have been to all countries worth visiting on this earth. However, nowhere in any modern democracy have I seen such extremely poor infrastructure, including roads, as v have now in India. This has happened only due to one single reason: the funds that should have been spent on infrastructure was simply misappropriated by all & sundry. Judged by the number of exposed scams & the sums involved, India is undoubtedly the most corrupt democracy on earth. And one of our globally notorious politicians has become the fourth richest on earth! And despite it all nobody is doing anything about it! Thus, laws of the jungle prevail in India even today. India is notorious all over the world as an oligarchic kleptocracy, lunatic asylum & wasteland fit only for bums, bounders, rogues, rascals, freebooters & buccaneers. Lots of highly qualified, decent & honest citizens - including myself - left India for other much cleaner & far better nations wherein one may live a very good, clean, decent, honest, human-worthy life blessed with full safety, security, prosperity & welfare, entirely due to the rampant corruption, graft & all related evils in our country that made such a life totally impossible. This has resulted in an extreme brain-drain in India & v ought to reverse it asap by annihilating corruption & all associated evils. If not, it will hamper India's continued progress & growth. more
