Poor Ethics of Delhi Doctors

Time Nd again I have found that many doctors in delhi after charging high consultation fee end up prescribing medicines that are available at full prices (no discount) generally at the pharmacy of the hospital and may be few pharmacies near by. Some of these are not available in the biggest shops in the medical markets of Delhi.

Isnt this violation of ethics. Why do they not prescribe medicines that are generallly better available ?

Now that all Indian citizens are becoming Net Savvy in digital era...it is just a matter of time before people start using technology to get generic medicine names and then these big MNC's would be forced to either bring down their prices to compete or will have to shut shop. more

Medication and Education these two has become only a business in India, and Government is unable to control on these areas. If only the doctor became honest and prescribe normal or generic medicines then it would also be helpful for all the citizens of India. more

This should be a rule and law and a punishment should be decided for doctors like for canceling their license if they force to patients to buy costly medicines. This is the only way to correct this situation. more
