Poor farmers need a Karl Marx to protect them from middle men
While this law would help farmers , it is against the interest of middle men and mandi owners . These middle men and mandi owners have enormous money power and muscle power and enjoyed some sort of support from divisive overseas forces and from some political parties who place their political interests above national interest, for short term political gain.
No one in the wildest imagination could think that thousands of farmers would leave their farms and agricultural land for several months to sit on the highways to "protest". Obviously, some farmers may have been coerced or fed with freebies to make them participate. Most others may not be farmers at all. This is now becoming increasingly clear.
By forcing Modi government to repeal the farm laws, the poor farmers have been left high and dry. Many agricultural economists and poor farmers all over India are disappointed
that this reform policy have been thwarted by vested interests.
Karl Marx said that the workers of the world have nothing to lose except the chain , which encouraged the workers to assert their rights.
In the same way, poor farmers in India need a Karl Marx who would lead a social revolution to enable the poor farmers to get rid of the control of the middle men , traders and mandi owners and sell their products directly in the market and reap good profit that they deserve.
