Poor security measures in schools

While we are discussing the ever increasing school fees, another major menace is the security of students in Bangalore schools. Adequate measures are needed to ensure our kids are safe in school and en-route

Mandatory security measures are needed for every student such as
* CCTV cameras within campus and staff rooms
* Instantly recognizable uniforms
* Background verification and police reporting of each employee associated to the school (this is a must)
* Actively monitored complaint redressal mechanism for students
* Mandatory attendance by parents in the PTA meetings at least once a year etc.

Please provide your valuable feedback and let us move a petition in change.org to apprise the central & state govts regarding this. more

Security for students from staff is more of a concern now that about culprits from outside. Best is to have more women teachers and 100% cctv CAMERA survillance. Staff behavior with students must be monitored and any violation must be severely dealt with. Girl students must be trained and encouraged to report about any harassment in beginning itself. Touching the children inappropriately or beating them should be dealt with police complaint and arrest. Only severe punishment (not just dismissal) can discourage such animal acts of teachers. more
Security in schools should be made mandatory, the govt. should make it compulsory, to have CCTV in strategic places, this will not only prevent any untoward incidents but also make the teachers more serious about teaching. more
After age 40 it is very hard to basically live, leave alone school fees. There are only layoffs and unemployment. more
Thank You for bringing up the topic. * Security is a definite concern first of all, these security guards outside the school gates are good for nothing, they are just dummy. * Govt. should interfere in the school fees and regulate them. * Other concern is compulsion of buying everything from school, like books uniform bags, etc, why can we not buy NCERT prescribed generic book which is way cheaper than private publications who get commission from schools. * Not sure how much verified are the drivers and other staff at school, we have seen incidents happening in schools and no one are held responsible EOD. more
