portal

Could the government / administration come out with a portal to report full details of the person(s) / unit(s) who only accept cash for carrying out his trade or service. With those cases, the traders can be tracked, with the help of conmen. Then such traders can be booked / fined. There are units who charge even 2000 bucks for a service accept only cash, even when the present law states that the traders up to Rs.20 lakhs need not have to keep proper books. That means such a trader is making more than rs.20 lakhs and is playing safe. In case he is not earning over rs.20 lakhs why cant he issue bills and accept card / cheque / account payment by any app?

This portal would reveal the details of such traders to be tackled, maybe over a period of time and the system can be cleansed of any future blackmoney generation, and the salaried persons and the poor and needy need not feel the pinch. more

In every Govt. Dept, it should be mandatory to boldly display a toll-free corruption helpline and a Wapp no. so that an instant photo of the person involved in extortion can be sent as attachment. This can reduce public corruption to some extent but the institutionalized corruption happening through intermediaries like DALALS & so called consultants which is the norm in many departments like RTOs can't be tackled in this way. But sometimes, there can be physical violence. And none without a proper photo ID being displayed on the body should be allowed in any Govt. premises. Any members of public visiting Govt. Dept should have a photo ID & be issued a VISITOR pass while entering the Dept. and reason for his visit should be logged. CCTV cameras should be installed in every Govt. Dept. and keep operational and video recordings preserved for 6 months. The whole bacteria of corruption are born in the Govt. Depts. and gets viral in the whole society. more
I would request the author of the post to firstly recommend the Govt. to remove any charges being charged either by the banks or the traders towards accepting the payment by digital system like debit cards, internet banking or the credit cards. The transaction fee by such payment system is as high as 3-5% and why should the buyer pay such a heavy transaction. Unless and until such fee are charged I would not recommend for any digital payment system and would like to adapt to cash payment system. So far I was avoiding to buy any item on cash basis however the additional fee being charged compelled me to adapt the cash payment system. A basic question arises as to why it should tax me. more
Yes. Why should any one pay extra on digital payments when they can avoid by paying cash. Money saved is money earned.
Reducing the deposit interest rates, excess payment on digital payments. We are losers at every point transaction. more
This is actually a racket. The Govt. is allowing the fleecing of people digitally. Actually, if there is no human intervention there is no cost except the Infrastructure and its maintenance. Consumer Ministry, RBI & Finance Ministry should look into this problem urgently because it has really become a scam as many fly-by-night cos has come up in this game in connivance with Govt. Depts. The problem is mainly with Govt. utilities & Depts and not found with private parties' consumer transactions. Is anybody listening? more
I totally agree with Virmani Sir. The charges are exorbitant. The private players also play a vital role in this. For eg. booking a ticket for a movie from BOOK my show or Paytm. A whopping Rs 30.00 per ticket is charged as convenience charges. I do not understand 'What Convenience'? Internet is ours for which we are paying. Time spent before the computer to book tickets is ours. Searching for our seats is done by us. Then why these extra charges. The same goes for everything. Be it electricity bills, water bills, Mobile payments, or any other service that you pay for through Digital Payments. Even NEFT and IMPS money transfers are charged. Kindly stop these additional charges. more
Presently, the whole taxation system is so complicated that it just breeds corruption. One Transaction tax & no Income Tax is the only answer to make the system corruption-free. And no Government in any commercial operation. These may sound little utopian under the present context, but this is the only way to have pro-active, efficient and less taxing Govt. to bring progress to the country & people and achieve social equality. Iagree with Mr Ramdas. Even the small shopkeepers are not giving receipts for any amount be it 1000/ Tax policies need to be transparent. Dr S.Sanyal more
Dear Ramdasji, thanks for interaction. Can you please send me your Mob. no. so that we can discuss personally in detail. My M: 70303 70277 more
dear pradip saha, i agree with your statement partially. Transaction TAx on whom? only the trader. that is not sufficient. What bout those individuals who earn more money by way of employment in companies, being directors in companies, government servants, etc. How they be taxed. Further, yes the government has rushed through the proposal, else it would never have been introduced.
It would be our duty as a citizen of the country to bring the gaps to their notice and to help them plug the gaps. Any new legislation or law, cannot be introduced in a foolproof way.
I hope these are to be pointed out by the citizens through the proper channels for improving or plugging the gaps.
This forum is perhaps meant for that, i assume. more
