Power Outage situation

The power outage situation survey by LocalCircles last year was carried by news papers widely. Despite that and the fact that Govt has enough coal, why we are still facing outage situations? I am in Indore with my mother and the power here goes 3 times a day.

What is being done to resolve this? The state CM says he will spend on Devi Mandir. How will that help ? Will that improve the power situaatioj or will spending on infrastructure do the job? more

If the CM spends his personal time in Devi Mandir or wherever, its his personal choice. We have an issue if he spends public money and time doing that. I am sure power problems are there across the country and load-shedding is not alien. There are issues with local power infrastructure and distribution which needs to be dealt with. Often, power cuts are due to poor qulaity of infrastructure than supply. Transformers, supply lines, distributors, power cables and other infrastructure need maintenance, overhaul and upgrades. This is notwithstanding availibility of power. Lets face it - all of us are consuming a lot more power these days than 10 years ago. The infrastructure has not kept pace with it. We must work towards fixing that. more
I live in Hyderabad and we have no such power "cuts" even during peak summer. so it maybe localized, and could be purely distribution issue. from whatever i understand, India does not have a shortage of power production. more
First find out why there is a power outage. Saying that t is 2 times or 4 times a day is not enough. Also check if the timing is the same everyday. Has the department made any announcements about the Power Cut? In my experience power stoppages are on account of local in-capabilities, improper maintenance techniques adopted by the engineers and technicians. It has usually not much to do with Coal shortage. more
Why do you mix up issues! Devi mandir and power outage are two separate subjects. Both need our attention. Isn't the government making crores of money through temples! more
What is the priority? Government making crores of money through temples are not invested back to upgrade infrastructure. These money are enjoyed by temple authorities only
@Suresh Adina - No, it is not fashionable to link everything to Mandir. It is real concern and government has wrong priority. You guys keep pushing it. Because of these pushing only country has come to this situation where grand temples are being built but people are suffering in day to day life more
I was going to say the same. fashionable to link everything to Mandir as we will not push back more
