Practice of Ghost Employees - Inputs Needed

It has been brought to our attention that in many Government Departments, there are employees on payroll that aren't necessarily working. Some of them are involved in providing services to bureaucrats at their homes, some are deployed with politicians and some are just simply drawing salaries in exchange for a kick back/favour.

To better understand the magnitude of such corruption, we invite you to provide inputs. Kindly share issues related to ghost employees based on your experience.

Also, if you know of a specific case, you are welcome to highlight it (as regular or anonymous post) so actions can be taken on such misuse of public money.

Sir, Please address the Assistant engineers/Sr Civil engineers taking bribes from the contractors for signing the bill and for even approving the tender application!! This is a serious matter and I have been seeing this huge corruption in the field of PWD works!! more

Govt servants or any official working in Govt or Undertaking sector should not be permitted to enter in doing any sort of business either directly or indirectly which is related with his job . Even MPs in India is not acting with their conscious. Empty papers signed by MLAs MPS are misused by their agents which all needed to be banned. This is a network of corruption prevails everywhere for any thing. more

There is no protection for the whistle-blowers. I find every tenth man if not more, are involved in the this kind of affairs. Population like India It is rather impossible to address the Monster issue even to attempt is dangerous. more
