Premium Stents

If I understand correctly prices of only the two basic stents have been regulated. What happens to other stents that are high end. If one needs that due to medical condition or as a choice, will they still end up paying a huge premium or will they also have MRP? more

Not only Hospitals, Insurance co's covering Medical Policy are also partners of the scam. more
This would only be beneficial, if Govt. takes initiatives strictly to implement these new price list of all the stents on the reception of big hospitals like Fortis and Max Hospitals and other private hospitals situated through India. more
MEDICAL SYSTEM IS A BIG BIG SCAM. THE LOOTING WILL STILL GO ON ONE PRETEX OR OTHER. 1. MOST PRIVATE HOSPITALS ARE NOW JACKING UP THE OPERATION PROCEDURE COST. TO MAKE UP FOR THE LOSS IN THE EARLIER LOOT. A STUNT WITH LANDING COST OF 16 THOUSANDS WAS BEING CHARGED AT MORE THAN Rs. TWO LAKHS. 2. INVARIABLY THE CATCHERS ARE REUSED IN OTHER PATIENTS. EVEN AFTER WASHING, SOME BLOOD OF EARLIER PATENTS IS LIKELY TO INFECT THE SUBSEQUENT3 ONES. GOD SAVE, IF THE EARLIER HAD AIDS, ETC. 3. ONLY SOLUTION IS THAT GOVT. COMES UP WITH QUALITY HOSPITALS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS. THERE SHOULD BE SEGREGATION OF PATIENTS. NOW EVERY TOM AND DIC RUNS TO AIIMS, WHERE AS MOST PATIENTS CAN GET TREATED WELL, WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE AT THE PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRES. more
Hospitals specially 5 stars should give detail bill of the stents more
As per NPPP FDA, almost all stents are covered under the new MRP. Secondly as per reliable medical experts there is no proven benefits of these so called premium stents over the basic stents. It is like the different types of soap available in the market. The function of all the soaps remains the same. more
