Prepaid transport at railway stations
Like most of the Airports, we can have prepaid auto stand, prepaid taxi stand and fleet taxi (if it is operated in the town) stand for convenience of the passengers at ALL major stations. This will avoid fleecing passengers. This can startin a staggered manner. Many railway stations already have it but the people manning the stand are themselves involved in malpractice. So make it online or mobile enabled to minimize such malpractices. more

How can it happen . What will our GRP/ RPF do. Afterall they collect daily hafftta from their beloved oartners. Railway is run for Haffttakhor babus and not for people of India. more

Nagpur railway stn has a prepaid auto stand. Earier the outward passage from pf no 1 led straight to the pre-paid counter, which was very convenient and there was always a good demand for the pre-paid service. But in the last couple of years, the railways, for SOME UNKNOWN REASON, have closed this exit and made passengers use another exit far away from the pre-paid counter; so much so, many passengers are not even AWARE that there is a pre-paid counter at Nagpur railway stn. Why talk of passenger amenities and service? Let us accept the fact that the railways are being run NOT FOR CONVENIENCE OF THE PUBLIC, but to suit their own conveniences and interests. more

IRCTC has in its profile to help the passenger in hiring a prepeaid taxi. you can visit IRCTC site to hire the prepaid taxi. However, a prepaid counter may be started soon. more

Also there is a need for an infrastructure which permits transfer between airport, railway station and bus station terminal by interconnected underground metro without exiting the building. more

I think the passengers can use Ola or Uber to book cabs from railway stations to respective places through their smart phones. Definitely initiating prepaid stands will help the passengers. more
