Present Finance Minister the Tamil Nadu can do without

While the present Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is showing admirable level of restraint in making observations and expressing views, the present finance Minister of Tamil Nadu has been saying all sorts of things in several media interviews.

While most of his views are self boasting and about his so called high qualifications, the worst observation came when he questioned the demand by section of Hindus that the state government should give up the control over the Hindu temples and they should have the similar method of management as church, mosque, Gurdwara. Further, he has almost abused a spiritual personality in Tamil Nadu who is advocating that Hindu temples should have autonomy in management.

Since the views have come up from the Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu government, it is now seen as the views of the Tamil Nadu government.

It is high time that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister should clarify his stand and take some steps to discipline the new Finance Minister, particularly since it is most inappropriate to make controversial statements in the present COVID time.

Yes, Hindu temples also should be under the control of the devotees and not under the Govt. of Tamil Nadu or any other governments of any state in general, like Muslims, Christians and Sikhs etc. Why the Govts in India is ruling and taking all controls of Hindu Temples only?. This should be stopped forthwith, for the sake of equality among Religion as undermine in our Constitution. more

This is a sinster attempt by the DK advisors of the newly elected CM. Instead of asking him to carry-out the tirade against Hindus, they are using a noncontrovertial (so far, now he is not) politician to be CM's his masters voice more
TN finance minister has made the observations while speaking to the media and the same was posted in YouTube also. My point of view is that why Hindu temples be treated differently from churches, mosques, etc in government interference. Further, temple lands and properties are not fetching market returns because of the low lease rentals paid by lessees. There is no guarantee that all assets of the temples are safe. Even some deities are not safe and requires protection. It is high time that government set up a committee to make the process of deregulation of all temples from government control. Before that government should present a white paper on the status of each temples and the missing assets and revenue leaked or lost more
